"This project started off as my own prototype. Excamedia, the company I ran my internship at that time, was interested in the concept. They requested a mobile adventure game, that allowed players to compete with each other"

Description

Scribble Dash is like looking at a notebook filled with Scribbles coming to life. You have to run, fly, and swim while avoiding scribbles that block your path. Grab coins to get a high score and to buy upgrades in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Design & scripted the game

  • Integration of: Facebook, In-app purchases, online high-scores, and Ads

Challenges

  • First time implementing ads, in-app purchases, and Facebook integration

  • First time going through the process of uploading a product to a page like Google Play store

  • Using new tools like SQL to make online high-score

Achievements

  • First game I published myself, and was later released on various platforms

  • The game peaked at around 1000 downloads

  • During the project I was in charge of Production, Design, and Programming

  • Learned various tools, like using Google Wallet for in-game ads, or SQL databases for making online high-scores

  • Facebook API for sharing high-scores

  • Google Wallet for in-app-purchases

  • MySQL for online high-scores
