What is Project Jupiter?

This project is under NDA. If you would like to get more into the details/specifics you can get into contact with me.
It is a multiplayer pvp game. A new original IP from Ronimo Games.
Unfortunately Ronimo Games got bankrupt during development.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of:

    • All core gameplay features
      Character, Controls, Camera

    • Enemy and boss designs

    • Combat design

  • Player progression systems

    • How do players get items

    • Item designs

  • ​​Organize and facilitate meetings and feature kick-offs

  • Guidance and counseling for design interns

  • C# scripting to prototype and the iteration of features

Challenges

  • Ronimo was a small studio, so people wore mutliple hats/roles. Some key people left.​

  • Working in a team with just 2 designers. 1 level design, and 1 gameplay.​

Achievements

  • Got promoted to Senior Game Designer as I kept doing more work that requires seniority and responsibility.

  • Did about 2 months of dev time co-operatively on character, controls, camera. In the end peers found it very satisfying

  • I worked together with a coder on a prototype/proof of concept, which we end up also using for pre-production. Massive prototype in which we tested many features before production.
